Essential Labiaplasty Guide – UK’s Best Cosmetic Surgeons

What is a Labiaplasty in London?

One of the most common procedures that we carry out here at Reflect Clinic, particularly with our London based patients is Labiaplasty, sometimes referred to as labia minora reduction and labial reduction, but what exactly is it?

A Labiaplasty in London is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures carried out by UK cosmetic surgeons. The procedure itself is carried out on women who may have concerns about the size of their labia – these are the inner and outer folds at the side of the vagina).

Why Do Patients Opt for Labiaplasty Surgery?

The reason that women come to see us about this procedure varies from aesthetic/cosmetic reasons to more practical reasons. Often when new patients who have larger labia come to meet us in their pre-operation consultation they will often complain about chafing and discomfort during a range of activities. This can include discomfort during sex or sporting activities due to having a large labia. Complaints from patients with a large labia also include pain or discomfort when cycling, riding horses or wearing tight fitting clothes.

A large labia can just be a natural thing or can be develop after vaginal childbirth as the labia can be stretched and sometimes not return to it’s original size. When women visit us to discuss labia reduction surgery they are often feeling insecure and may have had a loss of sexual confidence due to their larger labia so after support from Reflect Clinic and after making sure the procedure is right for the patient physically and mentally then we would look to plan the procedure. What Does Labiaplasty Surgery Involve?

As long as you are in good health then you should be able to proceed with your labiaplasty cosmetic surgery. The procedure itself is not too time consuming and can actually be completed within 1-2 hours depending on the individual. You may need to stay in hospital overnight but most often after this procedure a patient is released on the same day as their surgery. You will be able to walk on the same day that the treatment takes place but we advise that you don’t drive for one week. You will need to arrange therefore for somebody to pick you up from hospital or to get a taxi. Please see out location guides for London, Manchester and Cheshire here.

We strongly advise that you take one week off work after your procedure, especially if you have a more physical occupation. Rest is vital for successful rehabilitation and our Clinic Manager, Jayne will arrange a time with you for your post-operation review as it;s important that you check on your progress and that you are recovering well.

What is the Cost of Labial Reduction Treatment?

With the majority of cosmetic surgery treatments, the price of the treatment varies depending on the individual’s needs, health and other contributing factors. With Labiaplasty however we are able to offer a fixed cost for our patients. The fee is £3650 as seen on our costs guide. You want need to commit to this payment until after your consultation with Mr Lambe and only when you are 100% sure that you want to go ahead with your treatment. At Reflect Clinic you meet your actual surgeon and not a sales representative and therefore no sales tactics are used. We will give you all of the information that you need to make an informed decision for your own personal needs.
