What is Botox™ in Manchester?
Botox™ is the well known brand name of the botulinum toxin which is a liquid that can be injected under the skin and can temporarily relax wrinkles, typically in the forehead and eyebrows, as well as the corners of the eyes sometimes known as “crows’ feet”. It does this by weakening the facial muscles, thereby reducing the ability of the muscles to contract and wrinkle the skin. It can be used to treat wrinkles that have already formed.
It is also used in patients from 20 onwards as a preventative treatment to stop wrinkles forming in the first place and over time the muscles are weakened, so you appear to look younger for longer.
Lines in the treated areas diminish from 3 days onwards so that you look less worried, younger and less wrinkly.
Areas treated such as across your forehead, in between your eyes (sometimes called the “11s”) and the areas around your eyes are smoother and the muscles are paralysed so that you cannot form frowns with the effect that you look younger, less lined, less angry or annoyed looking and therefore younger and more carefree.
Amazing experience from start to finish
“Can not recommend them enough.

What are the risks of having Botulinum Toxin?
The botulinum toxin has been used medically since 1980 for eye muscle disorders and to help reduce heaving sweating and is now used cosmetically. Results prove it is effective and safe to use.
The potential risks of treatment could be pain, bruising, swelling, numbness, lack of response in the treated muscle and perhaps eyelid swelling. Less common effects could be drooping of the upper eyelid or eyebrow. If this should happen then this will reduce over time.
You should not use this treatment if you have a nerve or muscle disease, are pregnant or at risk of being pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
How long until I see results?
You may notice the treated muscles weakening after 3 to 5 days and the full effect will take about 1-2 weeks to become fully effective.
How is it done?
The areas to be treated are cleaned with alcohol wipes and then tiny amounts of botulinum are injected into specific areas. This could be in between the brows (sometimes called the 11s), above the brows and at the outer edge of the eyes.
What should I do before treatment?
You should remove makeup on the area(s) to be treated and avoid the following:-
Taking vitamin E for two weeks prior
