It was absolutely amazing to be out and about again without masks at the second of our International Women’s Events in Cheshire!
The event was organised by Joanna Scott-Aspray of Cheshire Socialites and was a celebration of women who had overcome adversity in their lives to go on to be successful in the Cheshire area.
The stories from the lady speakers were inspirational and very powerful as they each told their own personal story and to be honest we shed a little tear or two when we listened to their heart felt stories.

Empowered Women Speakers
The programme of brave and inspiring women included the following:-
- Christine Kenny – “More than a Woman”
- Ester Dee – “Be You”
- Dani Wallace – “Show Up, Wise Up, Rise Up – overcoming self-sabotage and flying anyway
- Penny Silver – “She believed she could so she did!”
- Sarah Stephens – “Always violet skies, channelling grief into positivity”
Guests also included Megan Wolfe from TV programme, Married at First Sight UK
The event was hosted by the hugely talented and hugely inspirational and ever popular Queen Bee Dani Wallace whose website is called Iamthequeenbee.co,uk and I can certainly say that she is. She hosted the event, was the cohesion to all the speakers, gave her honest talk, sang her heart out and got the party started! PHEW!
Dani is a first class speaker and owns I am the Queen Bee which is a company that teaches her awesome speaking skills to people all over the world including Natasha Hamilton of Atomic Kitten fame! Take it from me she is funny, forthright and downright inspirational. I love her energy and confidence which is contagious so I can see how she grabs your attention and holds the room. Honestly would recommend any time!

Women Empowering Women
We were invited to attend a table sponsored by Liana Frappola of Northern Lashes who has developed her product of eyelashes that do not harm the environment as they have biodegradeable, have eco-aware packaging (thank goodness!) and are vegan friendly into the bargain.
She provides a range of lashes which definitely enhance the eyes and are unique in that they do not harm the environment in the aim of beauty!! Now that is a cause I definitely support and agree with so three cheers for Liana!
Women’s Fashion in Cheshire
Anna from Flair Boutique was a sponsor of the event and showcased her range of fashionable clothes from summer tops to floaty dresses. Her company is based in the M33 Emporium in Sale, Cheshire and she is great on social media, so look out for her events and up to the minute styles on instagram and facebook. She also tags her posts #GetYourFlairOn and enhances the community by holding fashion shows in and around Cheshire with “real” models who tread the catwalk at the Cheshire events and are usually warmed up and supported on their walks by The Queen Bee herself, Dani Wallace, which is much appreciated and adds to the fun of the event. 😉

Women’s Aid Charity
As ever, Cheshire Socialites like to promote a charity and this year it was the turn of Women’s Aid which is a national charity working towards ending domestic abuse against women and children.
They have been at the forefront of shaping and co-ordinating responses to domestic violence and abuse for 50 years this year. Their mission is to empower survivors to keep their voices at the heart of their work, working with and for women and children by listening to them and responding to their needs.
Women’s Aid was founded upon women’s general and individual struggles against the patriarchy, calling out everyday sexism and preventing male violence and originally grew out of the Women’s movement in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Following on from this they take an holistic approach to their work to end domestic abuse and stand with other feminist organisations leading the way in eradicating Violence Against Women and Girls.
If you’d like to learn more about this amazing charity or you are a victim of domestic abuse, then please click here for more information.
Sponsorship
The event was kindly sponsored by Tara PR, a full service marketing agency, who is on a mission to help you create the successful business you have always dreamed of!
Surprise!

The day even ended on a high as I was lucky enough to win a prize, which was a Candles & Co gift box, I was over the moon as I love a fragrant candle (or two!)
What a day!
Of course, a big thank you to Joanna Scott-Aspray and my personal fave Piccolino Italian restaurant in Hale, Cheshire for a memorable afternoon!
