Your Consultation
Your consultation is simply a chance to meet you personally, see what you would like to improve, find out more about your past medical history and find out about your future needs and expectations of surgery so that we can come up with a plan together of how to proceed with your surgery (if indeed that is what you still want after hearing about the possible risks and complications as well as the benefits to you of having a cosmetic procedure, be it an upper eyelift (under local anaesthetic) where you can go home the same day or a far more complex surgical route such as mummy makeover surgery.
We are happy to book in further consultations until you have all the facts you need to make a fully informed decision. All good cosmetic surgeons (and cosmetic surgery companies) who are members of BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons) and BAAPS (British Assocation of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons) will act in this manner because there are strict guidelines of membership behaviour in surgery, so if you do feel pressurised into booking your surgery, with any surgeon or company, then please ask for more time of make your decision and simply walk away.
Please also be aware, that if you are considering so called cosmetic surgery tourism (going abroad for low-cost cosmetic surgery), then this decision will carry extra risks especially if you are going alone, to a foreign country, where you will be most vulnerable and likely do not speak the language. We are sure you will agree, this is a far from ideal situation to put yourself into, to save cash.
Remember, your good health and peace of mind should be the primary factors in any decision you make.
