Professional Beauty North Event
It was the annual return of the Professional Beauty show in September.
We always go along to the Manchester Convention Centre, near St Peter’s Square tram stop in Manchester city centre, to keep ahead of the new and emerging trends in the aesthetic world.
It is organised by Aesthetic Medicine and this year saw a stunning array of new and developing talent, products and services.
Beauty Awards
We were invited to the show by Cheshire Life Columnist, Actor, Entrepreneur, Presenter and Make Up Artist to the stars, Armand Beesley. He compered the event in his inimitable style on the Trends and Techniques stage and brought together a host of professionals from the beauty world.The panel of speakers this year included Seema Malhotra, of Real Housewives of Cheshire fame; fabulous Fashion Stylist for older ladies, the force of nature that is Glamour Gran Ann (@GlamGranAnn on instagram); international Make Up Artist and author Beverley Stretford (@bev_stretford) and Collette Casey Hair and Make up Artist (@ColletteMakeup) who together have a wealth of experience in Manchester, around the UK and indeed around the world!

The panelists continued by answering questions from the audience and I couldn’t resist asking a question myself (see my reel @iamjoannalambe).With such a wealth of personality and experience, they made the day memorable!

Winner
We were lucky enough to get a photo with one of the winners in the make up awards which was Halloween themed – can you tell?
Here we are with the “Creative Cover Halloween” winner Ella Harrison @EllaMayMua) and her model, Natasha Everson-Williams (who’s also a photographer @newphotographyuk. Ella’s entry was called “Candy Witch” and she paid such attention to the design that the model’s lips were even dipped in hundreds and thousands!
Search for a Unicorn
At last, our search was over, after travelling the world, we managed to find a Unicorn, and in fact we couldn’t miss it as it was dressed in showstopping style at the Manchester Convention Centre in Manchester city centre.
So glad we kept looking 😉
