What is a Mid Facelift?
A Mid Facelift lasts around 60 minutes and is performed under local anaesthetic. The total procedure time is two hours, including pre, surgery and post-op. However, a chaperone will need to take you home after your surgery, as we recommend that you do not drive until the next day.
The procedure consists of a small incision around the earlobe/sideburn area of your face. Even though this is only a tiny amount of skin, stitches are placed in the underlying tissue to create a Mid Facelift!
Here’s all you need to know about a Mid Facelift procedure at Reflect Clinic Manchester:
- Aftercare – Mr Gerard Lambe will see you one week, post-op, for a consultation on your Mid Facelift.
- Bathing – You can still bathe/shower after your Mid Facelift. Nonetheless, we recommend that you keep the area of your surgery dry until the Reflect Clinic Spire Hospital team can review, after ten days.
- Will I need time off work? – Yes, we recommend that you advise your employer that you will need at least one week off work.
What can I expect from the results of a Mid Facelift?
After your procedure, you will notice immediate tightening around the facial area. This feeling will subdue a little, and you will then begin to see subtle changes to your jowl/undereye region.
